Tagliapietria Named Head of Mexican INDEX Shelter Committee

Sergio Tagliapietria was recently appointed by the President of INDEX, Emilio Cadena, to head the association’s Shelter Committee, one of 15 task forces that make up the nationwide association of Mexican manufacturing and export business groups.

INDEX represents more than 80% of the Mexican labor force involved with the export industry, and seeks to create and support a business environment that keeps Mexico a competitive and attractive venue for global businesses. As head of the Shelter Chapter, Tagliapietria will lead efforts focused in two main areas: 1. Legal and fiscal issues and 2. Marketing efforts to better position the advantages of a shelter company.

Spotlighted will be the recent fiscal reform initiated by Mexico’s president, Enrique Pena Nieto, and how it affects shelter company operations. As well, the group will participate in multiple national and international events to better share the value of shelter companies in attracting new investment to Mexico.

Tagliapietra, also President of IVEMSA, a Mexican Shelter and Administrative Services company, will serve a two year term with INDEX. More information about the Industria Nacional De Exportacion (INDEX) can be found here.
