Mexicali, Mexico – February 13, 2014 – A coalition of Mexican public and private sector organizations dedicated to regional economic development, announced that major international manufacturers with operations in Mexicali, Mexico will be meeting one-on-one with potential new suppliers at the 2014 Mexicali Supply Expo.

Now in its fourth year, the Expo, scheduled for February 27, 2014, at Palaco Industrial Park in Mexicali, features specialized B2B meetings where buyers who have specified their requirements of products, processes or services, will meet with potential suppliers to explore business opportunities. These face to face meetings take place in an exclusive area of the event according to a pre-arranged schedule.

The manufacturers represent over $350 million in business done annually in components in the region. Confirmed B2B participants include Breg, Gulfstream, Honeywell, Johnson Outdoors, Kenworth, Newell Rubbermaid, Skyworks and Triumph among others. They are seeking new suppliers for all types of components including machining, tooling, injection molding, PCBA’s, automation systems and components, industrial supplies, industrial maintenance, and packaging materials.

Also at the Mexicali Supply Expo, an expert panel discussion headed by leading manufacturers based in Mexico, will provide suppliers with guidance to most effectively take advantage of the country’s increasing supply chain demand. Titled: Effective Quote Integration: The Most Common Quoting Errors in Mexico, panelists from five companies will discuss their needs, specifics of the quotation processes and how to streamline communications to successfully do business in Mexico.

Mexicali, Mexico, is a long established center for nearshore manufacturing with over 500 national and international companies operating with access to a total labor pool of over 360,000 people in the area. With more companies now seeking to remain competitive in today’s global market, and others leaving traditional offshore locations in China and India, Mexicali is seeing a new surge in manufacturing growth.
